Peanuts Halloween 1999: Happy Halloween! It's a Zamboni!

Who would complain about a single strip to celebrate Halloween in the Peanuts comics in 1999? Peanuts Halloween 1998: We're giving away a doughnut with every subscription to the "Great Pumpkin" newsletter

Happy Halloween!  We made it through a whole month of Halloween Peanuts comic strips!  This is the first of two installments to celebrate the day - the last two years of Halloween in the Peanuts comic strip.

Charles Schulz would stop creating original Peanuts comic strips in 1999.  The 1998 story line was the last multiple-strip celebration of Halloween, and it was a doozy, with 11 strips.

Peanuts Halloween 1989: I did it! I got the "Great Pumpkin" on video!

Another year, another single strip for Halloween.  But at least it was on a Sunday.

Linus was no longer content to sit and wait for the Great Pumpkin, and risk falling asleep.  Now he wanted proof, with the help of modern technology.  Would he capture a video of the Great Pumpkin?

Peanuts Halloween 1985: I forgot the words!

Peanuts Halloween 1982: Anyone see a bowling ball come this way?

While Linus' friends were preoccupied with their bowling tournament in 1982, he was dutifully waiting for the Great Pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. Surely those two story lines couldn't converge... could they?
